ABOUT / CONTACT
I grew up in the smallish town of Missoula, Montana, at the base of a ski area called Snowbowl. I was raised with chickens, and cats, and dogs, and horses (though not officially on a farm). Somehow, I ended up at St. Paul's School, then Yale, and ultimately, in New York, where I have spent a vast majority of my professional life at Lucky Magazine. I took a brief hiatus from the magazine in 2006 to launch the Seek section at Time Out New York (14 pages a week about fashion, shopping, beauty, health, fitness, technology, dating, home, and travel) before returning to Lucky in 2008 as the Editor-at-Large. I write the magazine's Shopping Trips (guides to the best boutiques in various cities around the world), a monthly column about shopping online, and a blog about budget-friendly buys. I also produce all the How-To videos on luckymag.com and am one of the magazine's TV spokespeople (which means that you can sometimes see my talking head on shows like The Today Show and Tyra). Little known fact: I used to be a mathlete!

When I'm not shopping the streets of New York (or the area flea markets), I can probably be found obsessively color-coordinating bookshelves, reading compulsively, or embroidering photographs from childhood freehand (See below: That's me, my brother, and my dad, at a peace protest when I was three).

If you’d like to see examples of my copywriting/commercial work, please send me an email. Ditto for a resume.
