Many of you will be familiar with Laura Day already. She is one of the most talented psychics living today. She’s written several bestselling books. And she happens to be one of the most profound teachers in my own life.

Today, we’re talking about her system called The Prism, which is also the title of her new book. The subtitle of that book is Seven Steps to Heal Your Past and Transform Your Future. Which maybe makes it seem like it would be complicated. But what I love about this book, and Laura’s work in general, is how simple and practical it is. And how it’s grounded in reality, and in seeing real change.

We talk a lot about change today. Change, Laura reminds us, is not having to take your skin off and grow a whole new skin. Change can be tiny and incremental, and yet it can really reconstruct your whole life. We talk about the catalyst needed for this kind of change. We talk about Laura’s thoughts on terms like manifestation, and many other words I use that Laura can’t stand. And why Laura thinks that understanding our difficulties is overrated.

Laura also explains why things that we tend to judge as superficial goals or wants are often much deeper—and nothing to be ashamed about. We also get into symbols—and why Laura advises people to pay closer attention to the meaning that they ascribe to things.
